Supporting Your Library

How to get involved!

Volunteers are always welcome at the library. They are especially vital during the Summer Reading Program in the month of June each summer. Story-time is also a great time to volunteer at the library. The library hosts story-time each Monday in the months of June, July and August and is always looking for readers and new ideas to present books to young people. For opportunities to serve as a volunteer, contact the library director at 889-2007.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Baylor County Free Library meet the first Monday of each odd month (January, March, May, July, September, November) in the library. Dues are $5.00 a year for individuals and $10.00 for a family. The Friends purchase items for the library not covered in county and city budgets. Fund-raisers are held each year such as bake sales, car washes, flea markets, book signings and book sales to raise funding. An annual Membership Tea is held each February. For more information on the Friends group please call the library at 889-2007.
